A two-day training programme on soil testing has organized at the Soil testing laboratory at Agriculture Research Campus, under Patanjali Organic Research Institute, Haridwar during 20-21 January 2025 which was attended by eleven students of B.Sc.

22 students and school teachers of Alpine Public School, Uttarkashi recently embarked on a fascinating field trip to Agriculture Research Campus, Patanjali Organic Research Institute, Haridwar on 03.01.2024. The visit provided a unique opportunity for the young minds to witness the soil testing value chain firsthand and ignite their curiosity in organic farming.

Dr. Rishi Verma, GM of Patanjali Organic Research Institute, was invited as Chief Guest at the NSS special camp held at the Government Senior Secondary School, Aterna village (District – Sonipat, Haryana). Dr. Rishi Verma shared insights on the benefits of organic farming with the students and emphasized the importance of adopting organic farming practices to maintain good health of Soil, Environment and leaving beings.

Mr. Pawan Kumar from Patanjali Organic Research Institute, Haridwar met the Board of Directors, CEOs and Accountants of five FPOs namely Vyakatroop, Kuthond, Kadaura, Aniyanta, and Vyaktroop during December 2024 along with Mr. Pushpendra Yadav. During the interactions and meeting Mr. Pawan Kumar emphasised that the FPOs should be diligently pursuing agri-business, marketing and entrepreunerial activities so as to make themselves self-sustaining. He also expressed the importance to avoid usage of chemical fertiliser and pesticides in their crops and field operations. Field visit to few FPO offices was also made.

In December 2024, Mr. Pawan Kumar, Mr. Vivek Benipuri and Mr Pushpendra Yadav from Patanjali Organic Research Institute, Haridwar, met the Deputy Director of Agriculture (DDA) for Tikamgarh and Niwari districts of MP. A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed for implemnetation of agricultural programme in the districts.

Under the guidance of Param Pujya Swami Ramdev ji and Acharya Bal Krishna ji on occasion of World Soil Day, December 5th, 2024, Patanjali Organic Research Institute team held meetings with more than 100 farmers from the villages of Tughalpur, Podowali, Ibrahimpur and Haddipur in the Khanpur, Bhagwanpur & Bahadrabad blocks of Haridwar district, Uttarakhand, India.

On 22.10.2024, Shri M.L. Gaud along with few farmers from Itarsi, Madhya Pradesh, visited the Patanjali Agriculture Research Campus. During his visit, he inspected the Soil Testing Lab and gained insights into the Soil Testing Kit and Machine “Dharti Ka Doctor” developed by Patanjali. Additionally, he gathered information about the ongoing “Pilot Project of Soil Health Card” (PPSHC) being conducted on the premises.

On 23.10.2024, Shri Sachin Kumar from Patanjali Organic Research Institute, Haridwar conducted the demonstration of Dharti Ka Doctor Kit in Indian Institute of Soil Science, ICAR. Bhopal. Dr. Shubham Singh from IISS had organised the event for around 28 students and entrepreneurs from various colleges and institutions were present in this event. Using this test kit, testing of five parameters was performed and the process of taking soil samples was also explained, Mr. Vivek Benipuri and Mr. Tarun Sharma from Patanjali Organic Research Institute were also present in this program.
