Under the Paramparagat Krishi Vikas Yojna (PKVY), a two day workshop on ”LRP Training and Awareness” was initiated by Patanjali Organic Research Institute at Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK), Tikamgarh on April 16, 2025. The Local Resource Persons (LRPs) from Tikamgarh and Niwari districts were given detailed training on their roles, responsibilities and various methods of organic farming.
The event was graced by the presence of Dr. B.S. Tomar, Dean College of Agriculture, Tikamgarh, Dr. B.S. Kirar, Senior Scientist and Head of KVK, Shri Shivraj Singh Parmar, Assistant Deputy Director of Agriculture, Dr. R.S. Prajapati, Dr. Satendra Singh, SADO, Ms. Pratibha Dubey, Shri K.P. Ahirwar; all AEOs from the Agriculture Department along with 40 LRPs and cluster coordinators. The officials and scientists provided in-depth training on organic farming techniques and practices.
During the inaugural event Shri Pawan Kumar, CGM of Patanjali Organic Research Institute, joined online and welcomed all guests and elaborated on the outputs of the project through careful planning, execution and coordination of all stakeholders. He also emphasized the importance to involve the farmers at every step of the project activities and assured of full support to the officials to attain the project objectives. Shri Vivek Benipuri, GM discussed the importance of market linkage for organic products. Shri Pushpendra Yadav, State Coordinator gave a brief of the activities conducted so far under the project as well as forthcoming activities. The workshop was moderated by Shri Munni Lal Yadav.
