Under the guidance of Param Pujya Swami Ramdev ji and Acharya Bal Krishna ji on occasion of World Soil Day, December 5th, 2024, Patanjali Organic Research Institute team held meetings with more than 100 farmers from the villages of Tughalpur, Podowali, Ibrahimpur and Haddipur in the Khanpur, Bhagwanpur & Bahadrabad blocks of Haridwar district, Uttarakhand, India. During the meetings, fruitful discussions with the farmers about the importance of soil health, soil testing, and the benefits of the Soil Health Card were held and fasrmers urged to take up sustainable agriculture practices in their farms.
PORI team also distributed Soil Health Cards to the farmers to encourage better farming practices. So far, Patanjali has completed over 1 lakh 18 thousand soil tests in the blocks of Bahadrabad, Roorkee, Bhagwanpur, Laksar, Khanpur and Narsan in Haridwar district, the soil tests check five key parameters: pH, Organic Carbon, Nitrogen, Phosphorus, and Potassium with the help of the Dharti Ka Doctor soil testing kit developed by Patanjali. Recommendations for key crops grown in the district are also provided to the farmers.
